Restorative Gentle Yoga Class- Thursdays 7-8:30pm (starts May 31,2012)

This is a very gentle introduction to Yoga aimed at exploring your bodies range of motion and relieving stress. Learn how to turn off muscles and let go of tension. Pillows and props used to support you in poses so your body can fully relax.
Includes guided meditation and Breathwork (pranayama).
Great for all types of pain.

Yoga for Beginners Saturdays 10-11:30am (starts June 2 ,2012)
1st time doing Yoga? Are you in moderate to
good health? This is the class for you. Learn the basic poses, Sun Salutation and yoga class etiquette.
Sun Salutation is a set of poses linked together with your breath (Inhale/up, Exhale/down).
Guided meditation and Breathwork (pranayama) included.
This class will help you to feel more comfortable and confident in most yoga classes.

Hatha Lite Yoga Class- Mondays 9-10:30-am (starts June 4,2012)
Sun Salutation warm up, classic seated and standing poses with modifications as needed, unwind and rest in Shavasana with guided meditation and some breathwork (pranayama) to prepare for the next part of your day.
This class is a less rigorous form of Yoga. I will meet your abilities. No Stressing! Just Stretching!

Yin Yoga Class- Wednesdays 7-8:30pm (starts June 6, 2012)
This
lusciously slow and meditative practice is the yogic prescription for
chronic tension,
physical/emotional burn out, long term physical imbalance,
and/or exhaustion. It can also be the perfect compliment to more vigorous yoga
styles.
Passive relaxation into poses for 2-5 minutes nourishes the joints (bones, tendons and ligaments) of the body, helping to
generate much greater flexibility and core-level relaxation. The practice is designed to bring
your Central Nervous System into "Rest, Digest and Restore" mode, where
healing work at the cellular level can occur—, muscle
repair, scar tissue production, organ detoxification and emotional
processing.
Think of it as an efficient way to catch up on all that
sleep you missed over the years! Yin yoga sequences are often linked to
Meridian theory, similar to the practice of acupuncture, and can help
open up and balance the body's energetic pathways.
This is a great class for high stress lifestyles.

Chair Yoga to reduce body fatigue, tension and pain from sitting at the computer for extended periods.
Learn how to eliminate or reduce discomfort and pain in neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, back, hips and legs from working in a sitting position.
This is the original goal of Yoga. To be able to sit and meditate comfortably for hours at a time, the body must be supply and flexible.

Thai Yoga Massage
Is a fluid movement form of bodywork that incorporates rhythmic massage, acupressure,
assisted yoga-like stretches and deep muscle pressure along the bodies
Sen or energy lines. The end result being increased flexibility, joint
mobilization, tension and stress relief and detoxification of the body.
Thai Yoga Massage sessions are typically 90 to 120 minutes.
